Apex Illume is committed to maintaining accurate, trustworthy content. This policy explains how we update articles and how we handle corrections when errors are identified.
1) When we update content
We update content as needed, rather than on a fixed schedule. Updates may be triggered by:
- price or specification changes
- new model releases or product refreshes
- items being discontinued or going out of stock long-term
- meaningful changes in warranty, return policies, or retailer availability
- new information that affects a recommendation (including reader feedback)
- editorial improvements for clarity, usefulness, or completeness
- policy or compliance changes that affect disclosures or labeling
Our default approach is to update and preserve the same URL whenever possible, so links remain stable and readers can access the most current version of the article.
2) Corrections (how to report an error)
If you believe something on Apex Illume is inaccurate or misleading, please report it using our contact form:
https://apexillume.com/contact/
To help us resolve the issue quickly, include:
- the page URL
- what you believe is incorrect
- the corrected information (and a source link if you have one)
3) Response time
We aim to review correction requests and respond within 1 day (maximum).
4) How we handle fixes
Not all edits are treated the same. Our general approach:
- Minor fixes (typos, grammar, formatting, non-substantive wording):
We may correct these without a formal correction notice. - Substantive corrections (e.g., incorrect dimensions/material, wrong compatibility info, inaccurate policy/warranty detail, materially misleading statement):
We will correct the content promptly. When appropriate, we may add a short note within the article indicating that a correction was made. - Recommendation-impacting changes (e.g., a product is discontinued, quality issues emerge, or key specs materially change):
We may replace the recommendation, revise rankings, or remove the product from a list and update the surrounding guidance to reflect the change.
5) Content removal and discontinued pages
If a page becomes outdated beyond reasonable updating, we may:
- revise and republish at the same URL (preferred), or
- redirect the URL to a newer, more accurate resource (when that better serves readers), or
- remove the content if it no longer meets our standards or purpose.
6) Pricing and availability corrections
Because retailer pricing and stock status change frequently, pricing references are informational. If we cite a price and it changes, we may update it—but readers should always verify the current price on the retailer’s site before purchasing.
